Cianjur -Already, midpriced Mediterranean-themed Laterna has become budget comfort-food house College Diner (911 S. College Road). Downtown, Caffe Phoenix owners are busy refurbishing former Caribbay Soul (35 N. Front St.) to host landmark Phoenix’s new, lower-rent location, coming this summer.

At Wrightsville Beach, Michael McMillion just turned seafood shop Buoy 32 into easy-on-the-wallet Harbor Island Grill (224 Causeway Drive). Shrimp burgers, coconut crab dip, homemade meatloaf and blueberry vegan pancakes are among the restaurant’s Southern and diner-style selections.

Next door, Mo and Julie Kablouti will next week introduce To Go (222 Causeway Drive), where they sell ready-to-eat, take-out dishes suitable for casual meals or fancy dinners. The business is a change from the couple’s upscale, 2½-year-old Rafaella Italian restaurant not far away
